Remember the Summer Before Your Senior Year?
Think of all the things you did and had planned to do. Reconnect with friends you never had time for during the school and sports season. Make a trip or two to the coast to explore the Redwoods and do some hiking on the miles of sand and cliffs around Trinidad and Eureka. Of course, sleep late and meet up with the gang at Shasta Lake for some water skiing or Whiskeytown to check out the cute girls or guys on the beach.
Below it all, somewhere under the surface of your mind was a small dark cloud. This is it! One last year in high school then the world expands to a new larger view with more responsibility and questions. Exciting. Scary. Impatient. And time moved on dealing out the lessons to be learned whether we were ready or not. Class of 2015-- enjoy these last months of freedom from all the adult world stresses and trials. Try to enjoy this time home with family and what only feels like day-to-day small-town drudgery. It's all there to set you up to succeed in life with a solid base to depend on.
