Waaay Back Then...

On this date in 1970 the NFL changed forever with the airing of the first Monday Night Football.

Think of the billions of productive hours lost because of this long running American institution. I know I am guilty too. Having been a fan for decades and following a couple teams and a few players that show some special gift.

As a teen I was a huge Viking fan. The Purple People Eaters had Fran the scrambling QB and Alan Page the beast on D.

This weekend I get the best of both worlds with my fav team 49ers playing the Vikes. Now our Bay area darlings have the defense other teams aspire to build.
