The best place to be right now is poolside or water skiing on Shasta Lake. No matter what, make sure you are staying hydrated with plenty of water and summer fruit.
Personally I love the berries this time of year. Big fat blackberries to pop in your mouth or better yet into a blackberry pie or cobbler. If you enjoy walking the many trails of Redding you can find berries for the picking all along the river. An early morning stroll can get you some good exercise and a full serving of free fruit to keep you healthy!
