Step one

the consultation

The consultation is often skipped over these days, but is almost as important as the session itself. During the in-person consultation we will sit down together here at the studio and discuss what is important to you in your portraits. who will be in the pictures, why you're doing them now, your previous experiences with photographers, and what you plan on doing with your portraits after we're done.

Keep in mind that if you're just looking for a CD to print at the local drug store, that is simply not us. If your're looking for "good enough" then we are overkill.

Planning for the session is the key to getting images you'll love and cherish forever. Together we will create a vision for your portraits, tailored to your personality. Each person, family, child and high school senior is special in their own way.  Discussing what your looking to get out of your portrait session will give us a unique understanding on both sides of the camera.

We'll discuss everything from whether an indoor or outdoor session is best for you, wardrobe do's and don'ts, time frames & locations,  down to the details such as when to get a hair cut and what foundation works best in pictures.

This is also when we will discuss pricing and products that are available. With my "create-a-package" system you'll never have to purchase images you don't want. This gives you the best value and variety as it is custom tailored for you, by you.

Your session is not left to chance. It is carefully planned and designed to meet your end goal.
